A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Bay of Bengal early Tuesday morning, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported. The quake occurred at 6:10 am IST at a depth of 91 kilometers.

According to NCS, the precise coordinates of the earthquake were 19.52°N latitude and 88.55°E longitude. The NCS shared the information on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “EQ of M: 5.1, On: 25/02/2025 06:10:25 IST, Lat: 19.52 N, Long: 88.55 E, Depth: 91 Km, Location: Bay of Bengal.”

As of now, no reports of damage or casualties have been received. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and further updates are expected if any aftershocks or related incidents occur.
